Nilay Girgaonkar

Welcome to my page! I'm a first-year MS student in Computer Science and Engineering at UC San Diego, with a strong interest in 3D vision and robotics. My research interests include 3D reconstruction, novel view synthesis, and SLAM. Previously, I spent 1.5 years as a research intern at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), where I worked on sparse-input 3D Gaussian Splatting and other neural rendering methods under the guidance of Dr. Rajiv Soundararajan and Dr. Aayush Bansal. I subsequently worked as a Geometric Vision Intern at Vimaan Robotics. I'm always interested in exploring research collaborations and opportunities in 3D vision, differentiable rendering, and related areas.
